This hotel was an absolute hidden gem for our family getaway. the location couldn't have been better - right on the beach in the main centre of the resort. We loved being able to step out onto the sand and enjoy the stunning views of the aptly named 'HAPPYBAY'. Secondly, the prices were incredibly reasonable, offering exceptional value for money. From the affordable room rates to the budget-friendly cocktails and wine, we were pleasantly surprised by the affordability of everything. Lastly, the staff were friendly and attentive, ensuring that our needs were met throughout our stay. We especially appreciated the recently renovated rooms, which were clean, comfortable, and provided us with amazing views. The fresh towels and attention to detail made us feel pampered and at home.
All was perfect!

It was a relaxing location, the pools, hot tub and the beach were fantastic.
1.We told over the phone by Mary that the cost for the ferry transport was $60 one way per head, When I enquired myself, the cost was only $30. Even the tour shop at the hotel itself was only charging $30. 2. Our rooms were never made up. 3. Only two of the staff there were friendly.

The location of the resort is fantastic, as it is not far from the boardwalk from the pier. the beach is so close that you can hear the waves. the rooms are clean and tidy, and the staff are quite efficient. the restaurant serves nice food with plenty of variety, and the buffet-style meals are hearty. the resort also offers activities to keep guests entertained.
The restaurant could use a refurbishment to create a better atmosphere.

Kitchen/livingroom to the budget/backpacker travlers:)
really quiet, not alot of people at the hotel, probably low-season during our stay. Because of this the evenings got a bit boring--

True island paradise experience. Wonderful trails and beachfront. Friendly, helpful staff. We were offered a great deal on upgrades to a beachfront room because the resort had many vacancies.
If you don't purchase a full price inclusive package then other costs add up quick. Transfers to and from are a bit pricing and other than pizzas and maybe burgers the only food option is an all you can eat buffet for all 3 meals. Virtually all watersport activities cost extra.

Good views from a few rooms and nice pool. Key location convenient to reach other activities.
The room smelled and the bathroom was dingy. the staff was not friendly nor accommodating and acted distant to us.

We spent a very nice stay in this resort, and found very good value for money. Accomodation is simple and confortable, and we also appreciated the large range of free activities such as tennis courts, bird feeding, coconut dehusking :), Booked.net, etc.
This is not directly related to the resort itself, but we found that the ferry from Hamilton Island airport to long island resort abnormally expensive (60$ one way per person for a 20min connection).

This hotel offers great value for money, with prices that won't break the bank. The attention to detail is evident throughout, with refurbished bathrooms and a great shower in every room. The location on the path leading across the island provides easy access to all the main areas, including a bustling bar that is open from midday until late at night. The staff are friendly and attentive, ensuring that every guest feels well taken care of. The basic amenities are all provided, including fresh towels and a delicious breakfast to start the day.
All was satisfactory; no improvements needed.

We like that the resort was set up nicely and easy accessible to us and all other visitors that were there, it was presented exactly as it looked on the website and photos, the rooms were fab and had a wonderful view from all of them, lovely and clean also, ours especially and we would request the same room again we enjoyed it that much, As we could only stay for the weekend, we are planning to come back next year and enjoy more of the island, And this was my first holiday, we was extremely impressed. the wild life was wonderful to look at and take pics of too. lots of activities to do we would never get bored there, We will be back soon :)
The staff in the food and beverage areas were quite rude and extremely unhelpful 3 in particular, as we are staying there we don't know everything!! do we?? or are we meant to know everything?? Some of your employees did looked miserable and made it less enjoyable, also waiting in line at the bar only to be overlooked many times and having to say yes i am here you keep serving other people and I'm polite and don't want to cause a fuss!!! he had a smile on his name badge, he could have used it on his face!! Amy was lovely and helpful always making sure we were all ok. THAT:'S SERVICE!!!! We would have liked to have access to beach towel not just the room towels) as we don't want to be travelling with bulky items such as beach towel, if they were provided that would be fab! The Birds seems to want to eat all of our human foods as people have gotten them used to it, the cockatoos looked sick and we should not be feeding them! you should provide bird seed for them as in hanging bird feeding features off the balconies, and have a No Feeding the Birds signs up for the cockatoos, Its wonderful to watch the Lorikets as we feed them, but there is nothing for the Cockatoos??

Smaller resort Friendly staff
Expensive food and drink. The general store charged double the price for the same thing we could buy at the supermarket at home.

Beautiful location with stunning views and a relaxing atmosphere. The staff were friendly and helpful, especially Azza and Laura. The food was delicious with plenty of options available. The hammocks were a great spot to relax and unwind.
The accommodation was a little outdated and could use a makeover, especially the beds. The air conditioning was not very effective.

Beautiful location! Nice and relaxing. Nice walks with stunning views, beach rooms are located very nice, especially the ones away from the main buildings.
It is a little bit basic and old. Facilities are ok, but not very new. And you need to pay extra for a lot of the activities, like snorkling for example, and there was nothing to see in the water!
